The AO NA Audit Committee is looking for a motivated individual to represent AO Spine and serve as a member of the Audit Committee. The Committee member should be financially literate and capable of understanding and acting on issues pertaining to professional accounting standards, particularly AICPA standards affecting audit committees.
The criterion for the open position is:
- AO Spine Member residing in North America
Responsibilities include:
- Reporting to the AO NA Audit Committee Chair
- Participating in two virtual meetings per year (Fall and Spring) and conference calls, as needed, during the year
- Overseeing the independent audit, financial reporting and financial policies, conflicts of interest, and Executive Director compensation
- Ensuring that the objectives of the AO NA Audit Committee are achieved
