AO North America Honors Dr. Edward B. Strong with a 2026 Educator Award
April 27, 2026 – Wayne, PA — The AO North America community is set to come together at the OneAO® event in Tampa, FL, this April to celebrate the 2026 Educator Awards, honoring outstanding educators for their extraordinary contributions to medical education. These prestigious awards will recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to training physicians at every stage of their careers across a wide range of specialties, including orthopedic trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial, hand surgery, and veterinary medicine.
Among this year’s distinguished honorees will be Edward B. Strong, MD, an accomplished otolaryngologist and plastic surgeon, who will receive the Brian Alpert Educator Award. Dr. Strong has been selected for this honor in recognition of his dedication to education and his contributions to craniomaxillofacial surgery.
With over 35 years of clinical experience, Dr. Strong brings dual expertise in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and plastic surgery, allowing him to provide comprehensive care for complex conditions affecting the head and neck. He completed his medical education at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and his residency at the University of Utah, and currently practices across multiple institutions in Sacramento, California.
The 2026 Educator Awards will spotlight those who exemplify excellence, innovation, and leadership in medical education. Dr. Strong’s recognition reflects his commitment to advancing CMF education and patient care.
